Travelling Light? Holidaymakers spend more on luggage than on the holiday!
The average British holidaymaker manages to stuff approx. £3000 worth of clothes and toiletries into their suitcase when going on holiday, a new report has highlighted. Research on 3000 holidaymakers by Sheila’s Wheels found that Brits cram their suitcases with luggage worth on average three times more than the holiday they have paid for!
Travelling Light? A distant dream it seems to many UK holidaymakers who manage to fill suitcases with items including £325 worth of clothes, toiletries worth £293, £119 of shoes and not to mention the average £1000 of electrical goods. It was found that on average the total worth amounted to £3174, three times as much as the average package holiday.
However, the study also found that 1 in 5 of holidaymakers didn’t have travel insurance or sufficient insurance to cover the valuables in question. It was advised that holidaymakers check their insurance details and make sure they are covered whilst away on holiday. Holiday Holiday agents are able to sell you Travel Insurance, just ask when booking.
